“This has been really, really a great experience,” Fr Simon Wilson of Curacao told Catholic News as the CCR’s 16th Caribbean Conference ended at the Sepp Blatter Hall, Centre of Excellence, Macoya.

“As spiritual moderator, I am really proud and happy to see what took place over the weekend. It was a real life experience. I pray God it doesn’t stop here but we take it back to our home countries, our home dioceses and archdioceses, and really allow the spirit of the living God to be part of us to build the local church.”

Fr Wilson thanked all who prepared the conference, those who participated as well as the speakers. “I thank God for Fr Nutt and Fr Tom, who came all the way from Boston, to be with us. I thank God for all those people from the Caribbean who have really brought flavour to the Church in the Caribbean and especially in Trinidad & Tobago.”

He said the conference was a true celebration, and it is important to celebrate church.

“I thank God for being here and celebrating faith with the Catholic community in Trinidad and Tobago,” Fr Wilson ended.
