Archbishop Felix goes on vacation

Archbishop Robert Rivas officially took charge of the Archdiocese of Castries, St Lucia following a February 15 midday Mass for Archbishop Kelvin Felix to celebrate his 75th birthday.

The Mass, celebrated at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Castries, the capital, was the last liturgical function for retired Archbishop Felix.

The archbishop left St Lucia to vacation in Canada, after which he will return to his homeland of Dominica to continue ministry as a parish priest.

T&T priests to lead Lenten missions

Trinidad & Tobago’s Fr Steve Duncan will lead a Lenten Mission at Holy Family church on St Thomas from Feb 25-29 while Fr Gabriel Julien will lead another mission at St Joseph church on St Croix from Mar 2-4.

Autobiography of a 'home boy'

Msgr Michael KosakMsgr Michael Kosak, Diocesan Administrator and Pastor of St Ann Church on St Croix, has published his memoirs, Journey of a Home Boy.

The autobiography traces his life from his childhood in New York to priesthood in the Virgin Islands.

Msgr Kosak explained in the introduction that in his generation, a "homeboy" was a youth raised in a group home.
