Belize’s Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) will host its 12th National CCR Youth Rally on April 12 at Holy Redeemer Parish Hall, Belize City, under the theme Yield and bear fruit in due season (Jer 17:8).

There will be workshop sessions, the sacrament of reconciliation will be available, and a healing Mass.

Guest speaker will be Fr Donald Calloway. Fr Calloway, a convert to Catholicism, is a member of the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception.

Before his conversion, he was a high school dropout who had been deported from a foreign country, institutionalised twice and incarcerated several times.

After his conversion, he earned a BA in Philosophy and Theology from the International Marian Research Institute, Dayton, Ohio. He has written many academic articles and is the editor of two books, The Immaculate Conception in the life of the Church (Marian Press, 2004) and The Virgin Mary and Theology of the Body (Marian Press 2005).

Fr Calloway is currently the house superior of the Marian House of Studies, Steubenville, Ohio. - edited from Christian Herald
