Choir on the Promenade

Tunapuna’s St Charles Borromeo Church choir sings at the December 18 opening of the Christian Council crèche on Brian Lara Promenade. The crèche is located opposite near Abercromby Street, opposite Republic Bank’s Promenade Centre branch. Among those present was Anglican Bishop Calvin Bess.

Before showers curtailed the night’s programme, Cathedral administrator Fr Kenneth Assing gave a brief sermon. He said the crèche represented light in the darkness hovering over our land, adding that hope is what is mirrored in the crèche, not a worldly hope but a Christian hope that Christ is with us.

Fr Assing also did the formal blessing of the crèche. The crèche closes on December 29. Raymond Syms photo
