It is good when members of different prayer groups visit each other. On Wednesday, January 21, Dr Cynthia Low Chee-Tung of St Finbar’s prayer group and Agnes Clarke of St Mary’s Prayer group in St James, visited the Cathedral Charismatic group.
Dr Cynthia brought greetings from her group. She also brought a “word”, the popular term used in the prayer group community. It was: “the Lord is calling us as family”. He is our Father and we are his children. Therefore we must love one another, as we are brothers and sisters and should help one another.
Mrs Clarke’s “word” was: “We are ambassadors of Christ”. The vagrants on the streets are our brothers and sisters. She mentioned a particular woman who was on the street that she once assisted.
When an attempt was made by the government to take them off the streets and improve their living conditions, some people spoke about human rights, and the fact that these people should be free to live the way they want to live. Does this mean they should live like dogs on the streets. As Ambassadors of Christ we must help one another. That is our duty.
Both speakers gave the consensus that love is the key to our relationship with one another. We are happy with the statements given by both ladies. ________________________________________________________________________________________ **DISCLAIMER**: User comments posted on this website are the sole views and opinions of the comment writer and are not representative of Camsel/Catholic News or its staff.
