The Catholic News congratulates all recipients of this year’s Independence Day national awards. We extend special congratulations to Rosary/St Martin’s parish priest Fr Clyde Harvey, and other awardees of the Catholic Community – Sheila Prince, lay minister of the Cathedral-Sacred Heart parish and Gladys Gafoor of St Charles, Tunapuna, to name but two.

We at Catholic News, and indeed the Archdiocese of Port of Spain, celebrate with the families of these awardees, as well as all the other awardees.

Fr Harvey was awared the Humming Bird Medal (Gold) for Religion and Community Service.
