The St Vincent De Paul Paramin Conference 10th Annual Easter Monday Walk-a-thon began with an opening prayer led by former President Gregory Romain. Then it was off, with participants running and walking in groups through the lush green hills of Paramin, covering some six miles.
This annual walk-a-thon is a fundraising venture with participants coming from within the community as well as from throughout the country. The morning was blessed with brilliant sunshine and for all who reached the top of La Finette Road a picturesque view awaited. Then it was all downhill to the starting point at Fatima Junction where breakfast awaited. This year as in the past everyone who took part received a medal. Trophies were given to those coming in first, second and third in four categories – girls, boys, women and men. The Conference would like to extend sincere thanks to sponsors Blue Waters and Desalcott, photographer Bertram De Peaza, the Paramin Community, the Police Service, Vincent Letren, Rodney Nicholas, drivers and all those who took part in this event. Our thanks too to Almighty God for a blessed, brilliant and incident-free morning. – Thora Boisson (PRO), Society of St Vincent De Paul, Paramin Conference ________________________________________________________________________________________ **DISCLAIMER**: User comments posted on this website are the sole views and opinions of the comment writer and are not representative of Camsel/Catholic News or its staff.
