Presentation Boys’ College (PBC) school choir, based in St George’s, Grenada, held a concert July 8 at St Patrick’s Church, Carriacou, to aid in church repairs. The choir, performing under the direction of volunteer musical director and past student, Halim Brizan, sang songs from their December concert. Making the journey to Carriacou were 21 students from Forms 1 to 5, singers and musicians. The choir sang African and Negro Spirituals, Gospel, praise and worship, and inspirational songs. The 200-plus audience enjoyed the two-hour-long performance. At the end of the concert, St Patrick’s parish priest Fr Carl Haynes thanked the choir, director and all involved. – edited from a report by Charisse Bristol
