Men of Faith, Men of Hope is the theme for the first-ever Catholic Men’s Conference in the diocese of Georgetown, Guyana. Venue for the May 23 conference is the Marian Academy auditorium. Frs John Persaud, Terrence Montrose and Br Paschal Jordan, OSB have assisted the planning committee with ideas. Bishop Francis Alleyne has given his support.

Andrew Cromwell and Fr Dwight Merrick will be the main speakers. Cromwell, who was born in Guyana and is a former priest, is a social worker in Canada, working with men. Fr Merrick is involved in the Catholic men’s’ movement in Trinidad & Tobago. (edited from Catholic Standard)
