Scores of friends, brother Jesuits and well-wishers including Jesuit Superior for Guyana, Fr Dermot Preston were present for the ordination to the diaconate of Reverends Marlon Inniss and India-born Ronald Fernandes, two Jesuits attached to the Guyana region.
The ordination rites were performed May 2 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm Street, London by Auxiliary Bishop George Stack of Westminister.
Inniss, who come from Mabaruma, north west Guyana, and Fernandes, who was born in Karnataka province in India, have been in the England for some time now but are expected to return to work in Guyana on completion of their theological studies.
