The diocese of St. John’s Basseterre (Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, Montserrat and British Virgin Islands) held Jamboree 2009 from August 1 to 9 in Antigua.

Among those who spoke to the young people were Antiguan Parliamentary Speaker of the House, Hon. Gisele Issac, Antigua’s Ambassador for Latin America, Joanne Underwood and Fr Ignatius Cetoute. Beside discussions and talks, Jamboree participants went sightseeing, had a games night and a “rising star” show. They also joined Vitus, the diocese’s Carnival troupe, for the annual celebrations. The jamboree ended with a closing Mass celebrated by Frs Cetoute and George Williams, permanent delegate for the diocese.
