Child-wise

No, these are not Angelina Jolie's twins!! In fact it is only one child, Lena, the grandchild of Carol Mc Collins Kreyenborg, whom some of you may know as the composer of the popular Lenten hymn Dying He.

Lena is fascinated by the other person in the mirror who happens to be herself. She kisses the image. I love me by loving the other!

Little children are wiser than the learned and clever. They are trusting and open to explore their surroundings. They love to play. Sometimes the cardboard box is preferred to the expensive toy.

They reach out to other children no matter the colour of the skin. For them only the present moment is important. Tomorrow or yesterday are of no consequence. They need others to love them.

When we become like little children, we enter into the joy of a full life.
