A new year, a new beginning

Maracas Valley parish began the New Year by spending 24 hours with the Lord from January 4 -5.

On Wednesday, January 4 at 6.30 p.m. Fr Vincent Pazhukkakulam celebrated holy Mass in the small Mount Carmel Adoration chapel he blessed just one year ago.

Every Tuesday and Thursday there is adoration from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. with about 75-100 people coming to spend their time with the Lord.

January 5 is also Fr Vincent Pazhukkakulam's anniversary of priestly ordination. It was therefore a double joy for Fr Vincent when he celebrated Mass bringing the 24 hours of adoration to an end and completing his ninth year as a priest.

More than 50 people attended the all-night vigil.

How good it is to begin our year with the Lord. Glory to God in the highest.
