DEAR EDITOR: Do we know where we are going? Every day there is an ideal changing! Does it lead to success?
Despite the fact that we are presently being emotional and concern for our internal crisis, we must not live in fear. God is everywhere and He knows each person’s heart. When we listen to the inner voice that speaks deep in our soul, it will never lead us on the wrong path.
When we reflect on the feast of the Epiphany, it is always with great delight to emulate the three wise men and follow the star of God. They went with a purpose and their conscience was the voice of God. In today’s world, the spiritual aspect of life is not different. We can emulate those three wise men and follow the star that leads to everlasting life.
Putting lifestyles before principles would only sidetrack the true purpose for us on this earth. Of course, every person has a choice and we all want to witness a transformation in this beloved island.
But as human beings we all must have experienced signs that we need to adhere to. The path that leads to the star has its ups and downs but sacrifice and faith is the key. Those who believe in God must also believe that everybody living has to die.
Naked we come naked we go. Wealth and power must not be our god! When we leave this earth, we go with our clean conscience and a good heart that’s the treasure of God. God is not concerned about the colour of one’s skin.
Jesus said, “Take up your cross and follow me”. It can safely mean to put aside the regular things in life, depart from evil and simple follow HIM. When one reaches to the realm of knowing who God is, you have to get up and praise him all day.
According to the old saying, “you got to get up and get”. God is great all the time. He is so merciful, wonderful and forgiving and will never fail us. No matter what situation one is in, He will remedy it. Catholics must take up their bible and wave it side to side.
Be proud to have it. Instill in the young ones the true purpose of life and the necessity of prayers. Christ is the greatest gift. He must be first and foremost in anything we do. There are so many souls to be saved.
Catholics must not take your neighbours absence for granted nor be discriminating. Let the short-term beauty and happiness of witnessing a young person praying turn to a long term and daily routine.
And let your light shine before others so that what radiates in your hearts will ricochet in future generations.
