Clergy to discuss crime
 

The 23rd annual meeting of the Association of the Diocesan Clergy of the Province of Castries takes place at Mt St Ervans Retreat Centre in Grenada from January 22 to 26.

The opening Mass will be celebrated at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Grand Anse at 6.00 p.m. on the first day. Main celebrant and homilist will be the Bishop of St George's - His Lordship Vincent Darius OP.

Thereafter, the clergy will concelebrate at Masses - at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Grenville on Tuesday 23 and at St Matthew's Church in Birch Grove on Wednesday 24. Both Masses begin at 5.30 p.m.

Topics for discussions at the week's meeting include “Overview of Crime and Violence in the Caribbean”, “The Role of the Church in Addressing Crime and Violence especially among the Youth”, “Climate Change and Weather”, “Financial Management in the Parish”.

The week's schedule includes a visit to Carriacou.
