Sunday January 28, 2007 FROM THE PARISHES
Symposium in Malabar

=

Malabar parish will this Sunday hosts a symposium to facilitate discussions among the public on cell/cell tower radiation. At this afternoon’s symposium entitled, “Cell Tower/Cell Radiation: Is it a Health Hazard?” key stakeholders will discuss this topic.

The symposium is open to the public and is free of charge. The Arima Borough Corporation is expected to collaborate with the parish in this project which begins from 4.00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Subero Street, Arima.

Panellists for the symposium include the following: Dr Stephan Gift, Prof Ramsey Saunders, Prof Jonas Abbae, Peter Permell and representatives from Digicel, Bmobile, the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and the Town and Country Planning. The Moderator for this symposium is Richard Saunders.

The public is expected to come out to find out the facts about cell radiation and question the experts. The media have been specially invited to cover the proceedings of the symposium and so contribute to dispelling facts from fiction.
