It's not too early in the year to remind parish communities and members of the various Commissions of the archdiocese of the two “schools” that are held during the month of August. Organisers of Liturgy School and the Caribbean School for Catholic Communication have begun preparations for these two school that are held in the first two weeks of August.
Liturgy School is back
After a one-year absence, preparations are underway for the 2006 School of Liturgy , which will be held from Monday, July 31 to Saturday, August 5 at the usual venue, St Benet's Hall, Mount St Benedict. The School will follow the usual format of morning lectures and afternoon workshops. Each day will begin with Morning Prayer of the Church and end with the celebration of the Eucharist. More details will be given at a later date.
Communications and the Religious Imagination
The main theme for the present three-year cycle of the Caribbean School for Catholic Communication (CSCC) is Communications and the Religious Imagination . This cycle began in 2004.
The sub-theme for 2006 is Creating a Culture of Peace through Literature
This year's school runs from Sunday, August 6 to Saturday, August 12, at the Emmaus Centre, Arima.
