It has taken just four years and now our association is about to beak new ground again with our annual Catholic Men’s Conference. Even before we held our very first one, it was clear that our men’s conference should grow and mature in some way each year and running over a two days period was always an aim of ours.
After four one-day annual conferences therefore, we have this year taken up the challenge of staging a two-day conference.
The Association of Catholic Men’s groups therefore is pleased to invite all member groups of our association, all Catholic men interested in learning about the association, all Catholic men interested in forming a men’s group in their area and all other interested men, to our Conference 2007, March 17-18.
As usual our venue is the School of Continuing Studies, Gordon Street, St Augustine. The cost of a ticket is $75.00 or $40.00 for one day only. Each day runs from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00p.m.
Our speakers this year are Frs Clyde Harvey and Jason Gordon with a special presentation by Christopher (Tambu) Herbert. Archbishop Gilbert will close the conference on Sunday evening with Holy Mass.
Over the last few years we have looked at the vision of our Catholic men’s groups, we have tried to encourage all member groups who brainstorm ways of supporting young males in our society and so this year we are focussing on the theme Living the Vision.
We look forward to seeing our usual faces as well as new faces of men interested in learning how to make a difference in society. In particular, we encourage adult men to support and bring along younger male relatives and friends.
