The Catholic News published its first edition on May 6, 1892. With this edition, therefore, our weekly paper celebrates its 115th birthday! The management and staff of Printing Services Ltd, publishers of the Catholic News take this opportunity to thank our faithful readers and supporters. | Trinidadian runs London marathon for Jesuit Missions |

Trinidad-born Paul Wilson completed the London Marathon Sunday, April 22, raising money for Jesuit Missions. 47-year-old Paul is a solicitor with Pothecary Witham Weld; he originally planned to run the marathon last year but withdrew due the death of his father Oswald “Ozzie” Wilson. This year, he ran the 26.2 miles course in five hours, 51 minutes, 13 seconds. Paul was one of 17 runners taking part in the Marathon on behalf of Jesuit Missions. They are aiming to raise £40,000 for the community projects that Jesuit Missions supports in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Guyana and parts of South East Asia. Paul says his desire to run a Marathon coincided with his admiration and support for the Jesuits’ work. |
