All set for August schools

While the nation’s schools are on vacation, the archdiocese’s two annual schools will be in session. Organisers of both Liturgy School and the Caribbean School for Catholic Communication (CSCC), held during the first two weeks of August respectively, have reported to Catholic News that preparations for this year’s schools are well under way.

Liturgy School will be held at Mount St Benedict from Monday, July 31 to Saturday, August 5, and the CSCC at Emmaus Centre from Sunday, August 6 to Saturday 12.

Theme of this year’s Liturgy School is Liturgy and the Environment, while CSCC’s theme is Communications and the Religious Imagination – Creating a Culture of Peace through Literature.

Facilitators for CSCC 06 are Msgr Patrick Anthony of St Lucia, Sr Angela Ann Zukowski of the University of Dayton, Ohio and Fr Jason Gordon.

Anyone still interested in registering for CSCC 2006 should call at 625-5168. Forms are available at Living Water Community, 100 Frederick St, POS.

Application forms for Liturgy School are available in parishes, at the Catholic News office, Independence Square, Chaplaincy, #2 Carmody Road, St Augustine (663-2806). Anyone wishing to participate may also email liturgyschool@yahoo.com to request an application form.
