Archbishop Edward Gilbert blessed Gethsemane House last Monday evening.
Gethsemane House is the household of The Companions of the Transfigured Christ (TCTC), formerly known as God’s Anointed New Generation (GANG), which has a ministry to young men.
In a short homily while celebrating a Mass for members before blessing the house, he advised the all-male lay community to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide them as they begin their journey.
TCTC founding member Kyle Dardaine said there are currently four live-in members, and the house is undergoing refurbishing work.
The community is the first all-male lay community in the archdiocese and has already begun outreach to other dioceses in the Caribbean with a ministry in Curaçao.
Gethsemane House is located at 35 Belmont Circular Road, Belmont, opposite the entrance to St Dominic’s House. The house was formerly used by Zion RC Community. |
