DEAR EDITOR: This year, the Santa Rosa Feast was significantly the best ever. There was a peace, a radiance, a celebratory mood that hasn't existed in years.

Everything went so well, the choir sang beautifully, the sanctuary looked splendid, the celebration of the Mass went without a hitch, the congregation was just one of dignified, participatory holiness.

 Everyone just filed in the procession without confusion. It's difficult to describe any other way, but to sum it all up, God and Saint Rose were really with us this year. God bless you, Monsignor!

DEAR EDITOR: I write in support of Liturgy School, yes the attendance could have been better, however at no time was I bored and every day I left on a spiritual high.

In the past I showed little interest in the smelter plant, but after Liturgy School (the theme of Liturgy School this year was Caring for the Earth: Our responsibility) I am now very aware of what would/would not happen in my country if a smelter plant is built here.

In closing, I wish to thank all the priests and laypersons who worked so hard in making Liturgy School 2006 a success.

Ah realise time approaching
So ah pack meh bag already.
August vacations
And soon………
Caribbean School of Communications.

Sunday August 6
Some came from St Lucia, Dominica, USA
Belize, St Croix and Grenada.
Not just communication,
But using the religious imagination.

Workshops were journalism and audio,
Web page design, media education and video.
We theme was literature –
With speakers
Dr Rohlehr, Earl Lovelace, what a pair.

“Mystic Masseur” was de movie on Tuesday
Cultural night was on Wednesday.
We laugh we belly full…
Both young and old stimulated,
Ah culture of peace was created.

Here was ah time to eat
Ah time to pray and get fresh air.
Thank God for this retreat
Ah looking forward to next year.
