The Catholic News congratulates all recipients of this year’s Independence Day national awards.
We extend special congratulations to Sr Mary Margaret Moloney SJC, retired principal of Maria Regina Grade School and Elizabeth Crouch recently retired principal of St Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain.
Sr Mary Margaret was awarded the Chaconia Medal (Silver) for “long and meritorious service to Trinidad and Tobago in the sphere of Education”.
Mrs Crouch was awarded the Public Service Medal of Merit (Gold) for “outstanding and meritorious service to Trinidad and Tobago the sphere of Education”.
Mrs Crouch has begun her “retirement” from her many years of service at St Joseph’s Convent by assuming the role of principal of Maria Regina Grade School.
These national awards were well deserved and we at Catholic News, and indeed the Archdiocese of Port of Spain, celebrate with Sr Mary Margaret, Elizabeth Crouch, the Cluny Sisters, and the Crouch family as well as all the other awardees. |
