On Wednesday, September 26, two major projects of the Archdiocese in the fields of Education (The Revitalisation of Catholic Education) and HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention (The Values and Virtues Formation Programme) were launched at Archbishop’s House.
Both projects are long-term in vision and scope – The Revitalisation of Catholic Education being an implementation of change management strategies that will assist in revamping Catholic education in Trinidad and Tobago. The other project introduces post-SEA students in Catholic primary schools nationwide to an Abstinence Programme.
Archbishop Gilbert was the feature speaker at the launch. Also addressing the media were Fr Robert Llanos, Vicar for Family Life who spoke on the Values and Formation programme and Carolyn de la Rosa, Change Management consultant, who spoke on the revitalisation of Catholic primary schools.
Archdiocesan consultant Selwyn Bhajan introduced CREDI (The Catholic Religious Education Institute) to those present at the launch. |
