Fr Malcolm de Verteuil, a former Archdiocesan Treasurer (1971-93), board member of Printing Services Ltd and judge of the Marriage Tribunal died on Wednesday, October 10, at the age of 76, after a battle with cancer.

Fr Malcolm who was ordained July 24, 1966, served in the parishes of Pointe-à-Pierre (1966-67) and San Rafael (1967-71). He also spent a year in Carriacou (May 1993-April 1994) before his appointment as a judge of the Marriage Tribunal. Even after he became ill he still continued working from home for the Tribunal.

Members of Casablanca community in St Ann’s, and the Carmelite Tertiaries also benefited from Fr Malcolm’s pastoral ministry.

The funeral Mass for Fr Malcolm de Verteuil will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Maraval on Monday, October 15 at 10.00 a.m.
