The induction ceremony was held in the convent chapel on Tuesday, October 30. Sr Reina Loe-Sack-Sioe, a 2005 inductee, delivered the feature address.
Archbishop Gilbert presented the awards and blessed the new inductees to the Hall of Excellence established in 2001 by the Past Pupils Association as a means of recognising outstanding alumnae of the Convent who have achieved excellence in their respective fields.
The 2007 inductees:
- Elizabeth Crouch – retired principal and recipient of the Public Service Medal of Merit (gold) at the 2007 National Awards.
- Dr Sylvia Moodie-Kublalsingh – retired director, Centre for Language Learning, UWI, St Augustine
- Dr Elizabeth Nunez – award-winning novelist and professor at Medgar Evar’s College, City University of New York.
- Mayotte (Mary) O’Connor – retired social worker and founder of the “House of Light” clinic, Arima
- Sr Rosa Pantin – retired teacher, spiritual director and administrator of Emmaus Centre Rereat House, Arima
- Sr Ruth Montrichard – educator, retired Executive Director of Servol
