Sunday August 28, 2005 LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

My first CFC conference

DEAR EDITOR: I did not know what to expect, as this was my first conference since joining CFC in 2002. It was FANTASTIC!! The warmth of the people, the praise and worship, the talks, testimonies – it was all great!!

It gave me the encouragement to go forward with more vigour. One thing that made me feel proud to be a member of Couples for Christ was when Fr Hudlin said that CFC is breaking record through its ministry. I thank God for all of us who have said “Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes Lord YES!!”

Let us all continue to say, “YES” and we will go where no one has ever gone – e.g. How about having a CFC for politicians? We are not only evangelising but also working with the Catholic Commission for Social Justice – food for thought.

In closing, I just want to say that I admired all those persons I saw making sure all was well etc. but my eyes were on one person in particular, oh how I truly admire that God-blessed child.

Words are not enough. Jonathan, my child, you make me so proud and I am sure I speak for many! I hope those who had the privilege to spend time with you will take example from your faithfulness and dedication to our God.

God bless us all.

Deaf now enjoy Mass

Dear Editor, I wish to thank Catholic News for printing my letter about the need for Sign Language on television. I would also like to thank Living Water Community for Sign Language at Mass every Sunday.

It is wonderful. I feel Spirit-filled. I truly feel the Spirit in me. The other Deaf told me they also watch the Mass on television. However please try to put closed caption or Sign Language on the other shows on EWTN. Thank you. May God Bless you all.

Gloria Pereira, Touch of Christ Community
