The Carapo RC School nestled in the small village of Carapo south of Arima, recently heralded in the season of Advent with the opening of its crèche.

Parish priest, Fr Gregory Mc Lawrence officiated at the third annual crèche opening.

Parents, students and teachers participated in the singing of Christmas carols.

Member of Parliament for the area, Camille Robinson-Regis, donated the figurines whilst Yorke Structures Industries Ltd and Caribbean Steel Mills jointly donated the Steel and Labour fabrication work for the steel frame of the crèche.

The crèche brings joy to the hearts of all, during this holy season.

The sweet voices of Carapo RC School paranderos, Los Ninos De Carapo recently won them second place at the recently held Natonal Primary School Parang Competition.

The Dwarka sisters copped the trophy for best female vocalist from the East. They were trained by Paula Weeks.
