Sunday March 13, 2005 FROM THE PARISHES

Mt Lambert celebrates...

Holy Family, Mount Lambert had a double reason for celebrating on the Third Sunday of Lent (Feb 27). Three couples received a Papal Blessing, having being married for 50 years or more. On the same day, another parishioner celebrated a special birthday.

Papal Blessings were bestowed on:

Another church stalwart, Claire Williams celebrated her 90 th birthday. One of her secrets to longevity is her daily early morning walk around the perimeter of Mt Lambert.

Seminarian, Brother Cornelius, delivered the homily. He cited the couples as exemplary in a society that often puts conventions, like marriage aside.
