| Congrats to Independence Day awardees |

The Catholic News congratulates all 39 recipients of this year's Independence Day national awards. We extend special congratulations to Sr Petronilla Joseph O Carm, Principal of Corpus Christi College and to Sedley Joseph, our football columnist. Sr Petronilla was awarded the Public Service Medal of Merit (Gold) for Education, and Mr Joseph the Humming Bird Medal (Gold) for sport. These national awards were well deserved and we at Catholic News , and indeed the Archdiocese of Port of Spain, celebrate with Sr Petronilla, the Carmelite community, and the family of Sedley Joseph. |
