We have been observing that there is a push for the promotion of “Emergency Contraception”.
Emergency Contraception is a course of contraceptive pills sold on the premise that if you have unprotected sex, you can take this course of pills within 72 hours “to prevent pregnancy”.
In the brochures being put out by the agents for an “Emergency Contraceptive Pill” and the little “call cards” that ASPIRE has prepared and have been seen at medical centres etc, there is information that is misleading the public.
- The brochure produced for the Emergency Contraceptive Pill Postinor 2 states, “How does it work? ………….. prevent a fertilized egg from becoming attached to your uterus (womb).”
- The “call card” “tips on Emergency Contraception” (EC) prepared by ASPIRE states, It “take(s) action that prevent (s) a possible pregnancy…” and, “if an egg is fertilized, they prevent it from implanting in the womb.”
Scientifically there is no such thing as a “fertilised egg”. Once fertilisation occurs it is a newly created living human being, at the stage called a “zygote”, no longer an “egg”. Both these publications do not acknowledge that there is the beginning of life at fertilisation.
They conveniently deny this fact in the promotion of their abortifacient “contraception”. Both publications give the “assurance” that Emergency Contraception does not cause abortion:
- Postinor 2 – “If I am already pregnant, will these pills cause an abortion? No they will not.”
- ASPIRE’s contribution – “EC acts before pregnancy so it does not cause an abortion”
But of course, you are already pregnant with child (in an early stage of development) at fertilisation.
The information that we are interested in clarifying on this occasion is the definitions of “conception” and “pregnancy”.
The Pocket Oxford Dictionary, Fifth edition, 1969, gives the definition of “pregnant” as “With child, having conceived”.
Up to the mid-sixties in the last century, it was well accepted, based on sound science, that the beginning of pregnancy was conception, which occurred at fertilisation, that is, the union of sperm and oocyte (egg).
In 1965, the American Academy of Obstetrics and Gynecology saw it fit for their own political agenda to change the definition of conception and, thereby, pregnancy. They issued a medical bulletin which “officially” changed the definition of conception from union of sperm and oocyte to implantation.
Scientific advances in the studies in embryology, DNA and the Genome project, have confirmed without a doubt that human life does begin at conception i.e. fertilisation.
At conception DNA testing can determine at this early stage, the sex of the baby, the colour of the baby’s eyes, hair etc.
We hope we have clearly provided the truth about when we are really pregnant i.e. with child. Persons reading these publications by promoters of Emergency Contraception also called the “Morning After Pill” should know the deception that exists therein.
Be informed, know the truth and resist the “hidden lies” that encourage abortion, the killing of innocent human lives. The Emergency Contraceptive Pills abort when preventing implantation of the baby into the womb to receive the nourishment necessary for continued life and growth.
