The draft Gender Policy contains some of the core issues that are destroying, in the Western nations, the most important institution of mankind made in the image of the Most Holy Trinity: family based on permanent, monogamous marriage.
In order to understand the hidden destructive power within the Gender Policy, we have to be aware of the background to the deadly ideology of the “Gender Perspective”, which is at the heart of the policy; how it has affected the world in which we live and how it is intended to affect our nation.
The Gender Perspective
- The core problem of the proposed Gender Policy
The “Gender Perspective” has been developed by radical feminists out of an ideological stance in which the word “gender” no longer refers to the biological sex of male and female.
Rather, it is, as Bella Abzug put it at the Preparatory Committee for the 1996 Beijing Conference, “to express the reality that women’s and men’s roles and status are socially constructed and subject to change.” It is an attempt to rearrange the truth to fit an ideology.
The word “gender” is used in grammar for distinction of words roughly equated to the sexes: male, female, or neuter in the case of some languages other than English.
Radical theorists decided long ago that the word "sex" was too confining. Revelation informs us that God made man in His image, male and female He made them (Genesis 1:26).
Science informs us that the sex of any person is determined by the chromosomes at conception - two X chromosomes, it’s a girl; X and Y chromosomes and it’s a boy. This is in the cells of our body for the rest of our lives.
Because "sex" is limited to only male and female and is based in nature, social tinkerers determined to change the word to something more malleable and so "gender" was born.
Their false idea is that "gender" is only a social construct and therefore can be changed through education and law! This is the key to understanding the ideology!
In 1975 the American Psychological Association was coerced by the homosexual lobby to remove homosexuality from its list of mental disorders and it adopted a number of resolutions, one of which (in 1976) used the terms: “The sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation…” (Policy Statements on Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Concerns, “Child Custody or Placement,” adopted by the American Psychological Association Council of Representatives on September 2 & 5, 1976, at www.apa.org).
The gay/lesbian/bisexual/ transsexual lobby picked up the term and sought to get “five genders” (male, female, gay, lesbian and bi/trans/sexual) accepted internationally at the United Nations (UN) Habitat Conference in Istanbul in 1996.
The lobby did not succeed but the attempt to stretch the definition of “gender” continues unabated in the halls of the UN, on university campuses and in city, state and national governments.
Radical feminism
In the 1960s, liberal feminists associated with Marxists and caught the Marxist concept of oppression. However, instead of the Marxist “class oppression” they saw women as under male oppression. Thus was born the radical feminists.
Unlike liberal feminism that sought to correct the inequalities between men and women, radical feminists believe that men deliberately oppress women and therefore all male authority has to be destroyed – eradicated completely. Thus the Women’s Liberation Movement was born.
Radical feminists are firmly entrenched in the universities, in the media and in governments, Canada and Sweden being leading examples. The universities in the West have abdicated to feminist pressure and most have “women’s studies” courses.
According to George Gilder, author of the best seller Sexual Terrorism: “These courses constitute the most brutal brainwashing since Josef Stalin introduced compulsory nursery school in the Soviet Union” (George Gilder, Sexual Suicide {Quadrangle, New York Times Book Co., 1973} quoted in Ms, April 8, 1983, p. 49).
Radical feminists collaborate with lobbies for sexual licentiousness, population control; with haters of religion and political liberals. They have hidden their purposes and worked stealthily always keeping their goal in mind (Dale O’Leary, “Feminism”, a talk on EWTN, July 1, 1994).
The UN has been thoroughly infiltrated and the Cairo and Beijing Conferences were their successes; their Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), mentioned often in the 2005 draft Gender Policy, is the enforcement arm against sovereign governments to pass laws contrary to their constitutions.
The redefinition of gender is the most dangerous aspect of the radical feminist agenda, destructive of the human person, both men and women alike, of society and civilisation as a whole.
They denigrate the Creator’s traditional role of men as provider and protector of the family and the importance of the role of women as homemakers. Marriage, family and children are the specific targets.
In 2000, commenting on the ideology of Women’s Empowerment, born from the Beijing Conference, (then) Cardinal Ratzinger astutely observed that: “The objective of their ideology is woman’s fulfilment. However, the principal obstacles to her fulfilment are the family and maternity.”(Zenit, September 15, 2000.)
Feminist censorship in North America has influenced school textbooks so that children are being indoctrinated in feminist theory from the very earliest grades.
A continent-wide study by Dr Paul Vitz, a professor of psychology at New York University, analyzed 90 school textbooks used by 60 to 88 percent of the children in the US. Nowhere in the texts were the words “marriage”, “husband” or “homemaker”.
There has been a deliberate role reversal, or reverse stereotyping, of male and female, often legislated into their culture. Psychiatrists and psychologists in the West are now convinced that this reverse stereotyping is posing the greatest danger to the mental health of future generations.
They are claiming that deliberate steering and often forcing little girls and boys, at the earliest ages, away from their instinctive natures, denying them their natural aptitudes, may induce new and incurable forms of schizophrenia, with the most serious consequences for society and for Western civilisation.
