The sunflower always faces the morning sun. It seems to draw its beauty from that source.

Each of us too like the flower draws our light and inspiration from the Son, Jesus.

His words, His life story, continues to touch us with new meaning each passing year.

When I first looked at the picture, I wanted a more photo -perfect flower. One petal looked out of place. Some bars seemed to lurk in the distance. On reflecting I realised that much of my life has been spent trying to perfect myself and others while the Son welcomes us as we are, warts and all.

This year I will let God do the work. I will bask in the sunshine of His unconditional love
